Another Saturday and more individual hardware for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk archery program at Cardinal. In the bullseye shoot, the High School Hawks finished in third place of five schools with a 3076, the Comets won their home tournament with a 3171. Top individual was Elijah Statler sixth with a 271 that included 10 tens. Kyla Karnes led the girls in 20th with a 265 and nine tens. The Middle School Hawks were third of five teams with a 3048. Ottumwa was the winner with a 3128. Tommy Miller was the boys individual runner-up with a 281 that included 15 tens. Jack Sorrell was 10th. The girls were led by Averi Janecek in seventh with a 257 that included seven tens. In the elementary contest, Lara Brenneman brought home the championship for the girls with her score of 251 that included 10 tens. Beckett Miller shot a 209 for the boys to finish in 17th.

In the 3D shoot, the High School Hawks were fourth of six teams with a 1528, Grand View won the championship with a 1645. Caiden Sellers had the top Mid-Prairie finish, taking third in the boys contest with a 277 and 17 tens. The Golden Hawk girls were paced by Kyla Karnes in 15th with a 254 that included 10 tens. In the Middle School division, the Golden Hawks were team runners-up with a 1488 team score, edged by Ottumwa’s 1551. Tommy Miller was an individual Mid-Prairie boys champion, winning the title for the Hawks with a 272 that included 12 tens. Preston Ford was third. Averi Janecek paced the Middle School girls with that 233 with three tens for 14th. Lara Brenneman completed her sweep of the gold with a championship round of 246, including seven tens. Beckett Miller was 33rd to lead the boys with a 166 and two tens.

The Golden Hawks travel to Eddyville Saturday.
