The trial for 17-year-old Willard Noble Chaiden Miller will remain as scheduled for March 20, 2023. This comes after a request for a continuance was denied by District Court Judge, Shawn Showers, during a virtual hearing on January 27.

Miller is one of two Fairfield teens accused of murdering teacher and Fairfield resident, Nohema Graber, in November 2021. Miller’s defense team argued that more time was needed to build a defense. With the trial date originally scheduled in August of 2022, Showers ruled that there has been, and still remains ample time to prepare.

Due to the high volume of media coverage, Miller’s trial will be held in Council Bluffs.
