The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting a series of town hall-style meetings to recap the recently completed hunting and trapping seasons. On Thursday, February 23, two of those meetings will be held in southeast Iowa.
The Langwood Education Center at 14019 H Avenue in Wapello will be the site of one such meeting, beginning at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. the other area meeting will be held at the Johnson County ISU Extension Office, 3109 Old Highway 218 South in Iowa City.
Local staff will provide updates on the hunting and trapping seasons, discuss possible changes, and address other topics as requested. The meetings are open to the public, and comments will be considered prior to proposing changes to hunting rules and regulations. Proposed rules will then be presented to the Natural Resource Commission during a regular public meeting.
