The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Archery teams competed at Saturday’s Chuck Hallier Memorial Bullseye and 3D Tournaments at Mount Vernon. The high school Hawks were sixth of seven teams in the bullseye contest with a 3155. They were led by Elijah Statler in fourth for the boys with a 285 and 15 tens. For the girls, Kyla Karnes was eighth with a 277 and 12 tens. In 3D the high schoolers were third of five schools with a 1597. For the boys, Statler was again the benchmark with a fourth place 278 and 12 tens, for the girls Josee Mueller was fifth with a 269 and 14 tens. Allie Whetstine cracked the top 10 in 10th place.
For the middle school Hawks, they were fifth of seven teams in the bullseye shoot with a 3054. Tommy Miller had top Mid-Prairie honors for the boys, placing third with a 277 and 10 tens. On the girls side, Sophia Puttmann was fifth with a 269 and 10 tens. In 3D, the middle schoolers were fourth of five with a 1542 team score. Tommy Miller was boys champion yet again, this time with a 275 and 12 tens. Ava Miller led the Golden Hawk girls in seventh with a 257 and 10 tens.
In the elementary ranks, Noah Coblentz was the boys bullseye champion with a 274 day that included 13 tens. Lara Brenneman led the girls in third with a 228 and six tens. In 3D, Coblentz was runner-up with a 266 and nine tens for the boys. Brenneman was also runner-up for the girls with a 239 and six tens.
