The KCII listening area saw a  winter storm come through on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, Southeast Iowa was under a winter weather advisory for most of the day. Spotters in the northern portions of the listening area recorded nearly three inches of snowfall. Wind gusts of near 30mph accompanied the precipitation prior to noon. During the morning commute Thursday, the Iowa Department of Transportation reported roadways in southeast Iowa to be completely snow and ice covered. Many local schools canceled classes and activities.
