All-State candidate Caden Kirkman leads the way at 27 points, 11 rebounds and six assists per game. This week, Golden Hawk head coach Daren Lambert talked about the matchup with the Beavers. “Tall task. Caden Kirkman has done a tremendous job this year. Tough matchup with an All-State player. Then they have shooters that spot up around him. We have to go on the road now, they’re shooting in their own gym. Get healthy, rest up, work on the little things and fine tune. The first time we played them, it did not go our way at all. We hung right with them that second time and felt like that’s one we should have had. Now we get a third chance. It’s tough to beat teams three times and we’re excited about the opportunity.”
Wilton swept the regular season series with Mid-Prairie this year including 77-65 and 67-49 wins. Those wins snapped a 13 game Mid-Prairie winning streak over the Beavers.
