The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk archery teams took aim at the Cedar Rapids Prairie bullseye and 3D tournaments earlier this month. The high schoolers were eighth of eight in the bullseye contest with a 3048. Cedar Rapids Prairie won their home tournament with a 3350. Top Hawks included the girls Kyla Karnes 13th with a 278 and 14 tens and for the boys Milo Sieren 81st with a 258 and eight tens. In the 3D contest the high school Hawks were sixth of seven schools with a 1570. Prairie won their own tournament with a 1678. Top boys performer was Caiden Sellers 23rd with a 265 that included nine tens. Karnes was again the leader for the girls placing 17th with a 266 and 10 tens.
For the middle school Hawks in the bullseye shoot they were fifth of eight teams with a 3111. Center Point Urbana won the contest with a 3217. Individually, Lael Seale led the Golden Hawk girls in third with a 282 and 17 tens, finishing third. For the boys, Tommy Miller was the top shooter placing eighth with a 271 that included 13 tens. Morgan Northup made the top 10 placing 10th. In 3D, the Mid-Prairie middle schoolers were third of seven with a 1554. Prairie won the title with a 1614. Seale was runner-up with a 274 and 12 tens. Sophia Puttmann took 10th. Miller was the leader for the boys, taking fourth with a 272 and 13 tens.
In the elementary contest, Noah Coblentz won the individual boys bullseye title with a 279 that included 14 tens. Greyson Naraine was seventh. Lara Brenneman was girls runner-up with a 239 and five tens. Alexa Cady was fourth. In elementary 3D, Coblentz completed his championship sweep with a 264 and 10 tens. Sawyer Brenneman was eighth. Lara Brenneman was once again runner-up with a 243 and nine tens for the girls.
