At 7:10am on Friday, February 17th, Washington County 911 received a report of a porch on fire at 217 West Main Street in Washington. Washington Fire was dispatched to the scene and found flames coming from the south side of the structure on the 3rd floor. The building suffered extensive damage & the cause is under investigation. All units cleared the scene by 12:00pm. There were two occupants in the building at the time of the call and they were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals for their injuries. Their conditions are unknown.
