fairfield-burglary

On Sunday, February 19, the Fairfield Police Department was dispatched to the 500 block of West Broadway Avenue in Fairfield. The caller had reported that a female subject had displayed a knife toward her and was refusing to give her dog back.

Officers arrived and located several subjects outside of the residence who claimed that a female subject in the upstairs apartment pulled a knife on them. During the investigation, however, it was found that three of the subjects standing outside had gained entry into the apartment and assaulted one of the residents inside. Officers determined that the woman with the knife was using it to defend herself, and the dog, belonging to one of the defendants, had entered the residence during the incident.

Three Fairfield residents were each arrested and charged with first degree burglary, a class B felony. They include 19-year-old Ethan Dwayne Nebinger, 47-year-old Clarence Scott Bowermaster, and 21-year-old Jaya Marie Ahluwalia. They were transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility and held on no bond pending an initial court appearance.
