A few of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference’s best boys’ basketball players will finish their seasons among the state statistical leaders. That includes a pair of WACO Warrior stars in junior guard Hunter Hughes and senior forward Cody Graber.

Hughes is currently tied for tenth in the state in Class 1A in steals with 77. His average of just under three-and-a-half steals per game is also twelfth in 1A. Along with great defense, Hughes was sixth in the Super Conference North in scoring, putting up just over 15.5 points a game.

Graber dominated in the low post, particularly on defense. His 68 blocked shots is currently 10th in 1A, while his average of a tick better than three per contest is 11th. Graber and Hughes helped lead WACO to 21 wins and an undefeated, conference-winning season in the Super Conference North.
