The trial date for 17-year-old Willard Noble Chaiden Miller, one of two Fairfield teens accused of killing their Spanish teacher in 2021, has been reset for Friday, April 21 in Council Bluffs.

Eighth Judicial District Judge Shawn Showers approved the request to delay the trial, which was originally scheduled for March 20. Showers had denied a previous request for continuance from Miller’s attorney, Christine Branstad, earlier this year. Jury selection will start on April 21, with testimony beginning April 24.

Miller and fellow-classmate Jeremy Goodale, are each facing first-degree murder charges for the killing of 66-year-old teacher, Nohema Graber. Goodale’s trial is scheduled for May 15 in Davenport.
