The Washington Public Library is holding its next Washington Writers Workshop on Saturday, March 11th. This workshop will feature a presentation by Ali Bergmann. Bergmann is a former educator and bio-technologist and is a poet at the Iowa Writers Workshop. She uses creative writing to explore connections between science, art, and feeling. Bergmann first started writing poetry about scientific principles and spaces while conducting research at Cornell University. Bergmann will give a presentation the first hour of the workshop, and then submissions of all genres will be workshopped the second hour. This workshop is from 10 AM to 12 PM and is open to adults and teens interested in developing their writing skills. The phrase used for these workshops is building a community of writers.
