The Washington High School archery team will look to hit the mark one more time when they take on this year’s state championships this weekend in Des Moines. The Washington Demons will have 21 total archers compete at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday. 12 of them will shoot in both the bullseye and 3D tournaments, including Tyler Alderton, Levi Applegate, Brian Fritz, Hayden Janecek, Riley Kasper, Avery Marner, Jonathan Moore, Cash Pepper, Allison Rees, Jace Sanders and Duston Sorrells. Those shooters will all compete in both tournaments on Saturday, while Blake Sheetz will have his flights in the bullseye and 3D on Sunday. Washington archers who will only shoot on the bullseye are Josh Anderson, Lily Brown, Madison Conway, Chance Haskins, Ethen Mesch, Landon Messer, Kyann Miller, Levy Palacios and Curtis Stender.
