The Washington Demons relied on a short rotation this boys’ basketball season, with only six players playing the majority of the minutes. But five of those athletes have been rewarded for their efforts by being named All-Southeast Conference in 2023.
Leading the way is senior guard Ethan Patterson, who earns his third straight first-team selection. Patterson was the fourth-leading scorer in the Southeast Conference with 19-and-a-half-points per game, and thanks to some red-hot shooting in the second half of the season, Patterson’s 36-percent mark on three-pointers was tied for fourth in the league. He also led the conference in made threes, made free throws and assists.
Making the second team are seniors Aden and Ajay Six, who took advantage of being first-time starters. Aden Six averaged just shy of 10 points, 5.5 rebounds and three assists a game, while Ajay Six led the team with nearly six rebounds per contest and scored nearly 10.5 points on average.
Sophomore Logan McDole receives an honorable mention, as his strong second half of the season raised his averages to just under 9.5 points, four rebounds and three assists. Senior forward Avery Six earns honorable mention after averaging nearly 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
