The Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division named their boys all-conference basketball teams this week and five Hillcrest Ravens were honored.
Senior Grant Bender was a unanimous first team all-league selection. He led the Ravens with 423 points this year, third in the Superconference, finishing his career with more than 900. His 57 steals were fourth in conference, his 56% field goal percentage is sixth in the league with 137 boards, ninth in conference.
Sophomore Seth Ours was also a first team choice. Ours knocked down a team best 55 threes, seventh most in school history for a single year, second in the Superconference, at a 39% rate from downtown, eighth highest. His 270 total points were also eighth most in the league to go along with 63 rebounds, 44 assists and 37 steals.
Senior Luke Schrock was a second team all-conference pick. Shrock poured in 259 points this season, tenth most in the Superconference. His 57 steals were tied for the team lead and fourth in the league. His 70 assists were best for the Ravens and ninth in conference.
Two Seniors were honorable mention selections. Jace Rempel finished with 71 points, 55 assists, 42 rebounds and 22 steals. Josiah Beachy posted 62 boards, 59 points, 37 assists and 27 steals.
The Ravens were 12-11 this year, 10-6, finishing third in the Superconference North Division.
