Three Winfield-Mount Union Speech Team members have earned the opportunity to perform at the State Contest this Saturday. The team competed in districts last month in Mount Vernon.

To advance to the State Contest, students must earn a Division 1 rating in their respective event. Three Wolves doing just that were Isabel Kann, Allison Humphreys, and Brynn Pogmore. Kann advanced for Expository Address, Humphreys for Radio News, and Pogmore for Poetry.

The three are scheduled to perform at the State Contest on Saturday, March 11 at North Scott High School. Students who receive a Division 1 rating at state, along with a judge’s nomination can advance to the All-State Festival in Cedar Falls.
