Current Lone Tree Superintendent, Kurt DeVore, has served the district for the last two years. Last month, he accepted the superintendent position with Clark Community School District, prompting Lone Tree to begin their search to fill the role.

At a special session on February 21, the Lone Tree School Board selected search firm McPherson & Jacobson, LLC to aid in the hiring process. The consultants will hold meetings throughout the day Wednesday with students, staff, and stakeholders to receive input on qualities they would most like to see in the next superintendent. A similar meeting will be held for community members Wednesday night.

Following input meetings, applicants will be interviewed, and up to six semi-finalists will be presented by March 29. Those candidates will be interviewed on April 1, with 3 finalists then selected. Final interviews are scheduled for April 5.

The input meeting for the community will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at 5 p.m. in the Lone Tree Community School District Library. Those who cannot attend are invited to fill out an online survey which will be available on the district website March 8-12.
