Governor Reynolds announced Friday the Appointments to Iowa’s Boards & Commissions. Among the appointments was Washington County District One Supervisor Jack Seward, Jr. He was appointed to the Mental Health & Disability Services Commission. The Iowa Mental Health and Disability Services (MHDS) Commission is the state policy-making body for the provision of services to persons with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities, or brain injury. Commission members are appointed on the basis of interest and experience in the fields of mental health, intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities, and brain injury and to ensure adequate representation from persons with disabilities and individuals who have knowledge concerning disability services.
