Plans will move forward at Orchard Hill for Washington County. The Washington County Board of Supervisors decided with a vote on Tuesday to move forward with plans to renovate and expand at the Orchard Hill Complex. Supervisor Marcus Fedler explains the reasoning, “One of the things about Orchard Hill was, what we came to the conclusion of was not only did it fit, it just fit. But there was a lot of, there was about a thousand square feet out there. Where, it wasn’t really program space, it was open, and we could probably redesign it, and consolidate more of that space, use more of that space. But it all fit out there. There’s no real room to expand at Federation Bank, and adding on to that building is not really an option.” There had been discussion about utilizing the Federation Bank Building, but upon further analysis, it was discovered that there isn’t enough space in the building for the current or future needs of the county.
