Beginning tonight at 7, Winfield-Mount Union students join members of the Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre Company to present Peter Pan. With an encore performance tomorrow at 5 p.m. community members and fans of theater have two opportunities to enjoy a unique production.

The Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre Company is a group of professional actors and directors based in Minnesota. For several years, they have worked with WMU students to put on performances.

What sets this production apart from traditional school plays is that cast and crew have only one week to prepare. Auditions were held on Monday, with rehearsals throughout this last week. Featuring songs, a baseball team, a wisecracking crocodile, and more, it’s Peter Pan like you’ve never seen before.

Performances will be held in the Winfield-Mount Union Small Gym. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students, and available for purchase at the door.
