The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team brought their hard hats to the court this season.
The Hawks finished ninth in Class 3A, averaging 12.7 steals per game. Four different Golden Hawks had more than 30 steals this year. Tops in takeaways was senior Amara Jones with 96, fourth most in Class 3A. Junior Nora Pennington had 50 steals, 10th most in the River Valley Conference. Other top performers included Kylie Reinier with 36 and Maya Nonnenmann with 31.
Mid-Prairie was also 10th in Class 3A rebounding numbers, averaging 35.3 per game. Landry Pacha was best on the boards with 167 this season, third most in the River Valley. Reinier was ninth in the RVC with 128 rebounds.
The Golden Hawks ended the year with a 16-7 overall record.
