The Washington County Board of Supervisors held a public meeting Saturday to pick the next Washington County Attorney. The meeting ran for forty minutes, with each County Supervisor giving their opinions on the candidates then stating which candidate they would choose. There was much discussion, and all of the supervisors were in agreement that any choice made would be a good choice for Washington County, because each applicant possessed strong skills. The board made their decision, “I would make a motion to accept Nathan Repp as county attorney. Do we have a second? Second. Motion and a second on the floor. Stan? Yes. Jack? No. Marcus? Yes. Richard? No. Bob votes yes. Three two. So at this point, Nathan Repp will be offered the position.” Nathan Repp is currently an Assistant Attorney for Scott County. The Board selected him partly because of the significant number of trials that he has participated in.
