Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk guard Amara Jones continues to receive recognition for her work on the court this season. The senior was honored as a member of the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Class 3A Southeast All-Region team. Jones, a senior, was a unanimous first team All-River Valley Conference selection. She led the Hawks with 101 assists, 10th most in Class 3A and 96 steals, fifth most in the state. Her 240 points were best on the team and ninth in the River Valley. She also added 92 rebounds, shot 37% from the floor, 32% from three and 81% at the line, seventh in Class 3A.

Jones’ assist numbers this year were second most for a single season in school history and put her second on the career assist list. She also finished second on the school’s steals and three point lists.

The Golden Hawks ended the season with a 16-7 overall record.
