On Thursday, March 9th, members of the Iowa State Association of Counties Supervisors Affiliate met for an hour with Governor Kim Reynolds in Des Moines, to discuss pending legislation affecting County Boards of Supervisors . Washington Supervisor Jack Seward was invited to attend the discussion. The topics discussed were the merger of government, eminent domain & the carbon pipeline, and the erosion of local control, especially in Mental Health and Disability Services. Seward is the current chair of the Southeast Iowa Link Mental Health and Disabilities Governing Board.
