As spring approaches, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office is reminding county residents to report any controlled burns of Conservation Reserve Program fields, crop fields, and timber brush. 

Those conducting controlled burns are asked to contact Henry County Dispatch prior to lighting any fires. Provide contact information, along with the location of the burn. This will allow the fire department to conserve resources if someone calls in an uncontrolled fire near that location. After the burn has been safely completed, another call should be made so dispatch can clear it from the list.
