Washington Police Chief Jim Lester presented the Washington City Council with the Police Department’s 2022 Annual Report during their meeting Tuesday night. At the end of the presentation Lester recognized Seth Adam as the department’s 2022 Officer of the Year. Mayor Pro Tem Millie Youngquist assisted Chief Lester with the presentation. Officer Adam has served with the Washington Police Department since September 2010 and graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in December 2010. He was awarded the John P. Stark Award for Best Firearms Marksmanship for the 236th Basic Academy Class.
