The city of Riverside has been searching for a new City Administrator since the retirement of Christine Yancey, who held the position for the last three years before resigning in December. The process that began months ago is nearing its end, as the city hopes to name a new Administrator this Saturday.
The search began with 11 candidates, and has since been narrowed to three. These finalists will be interviewed during a special City Council meeting, beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday. The interview team, consisting of council members, city staff, and select residents will conclude the interviews by 11 a.m. after which the Riverside City Council will enter a closed session to determine their top choice.
Prior to these interviews, the public is welcome to attend a meet and greet with the three finalists on Friday, March 24. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Copper Creek Ridge at 1182 Commercial Drive.
While the Riverside City Council plans to name their next City Administrator tomorrow, the decision will not become official until their next meeting on Monday, April 3.
