The Washington School Board has called for a special meeting on Monday. The agenda states that the action item is a tentative agreement between the Washington Community School District and the Washington Education Association. This item states that the base wage for the 2024-2025 school year is to be negotiated. The proposal states that there be a $350 increase on the salary schedule base for a 3.01% total package increase. This includes changing the base health insurance coverage to $1,000 with a $2,000 deductible.  If approved, the agreement will take effect as of July 1st, 2023, and shall continue in effect until June 30, 2025. This meeting will be held in the Administration Building and begins at 7am.
