The Washington County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday. On the agenda was the quarterly report from Washington County Outreach. The Director and Probation Officer, Brandon Hamilton, gave the report. “A brief overview, I currently have one hundred and seventy-three individuals on probation with me. So that is a seventy-six percent increase in individuals on my caseload since I started about three and a half years ago. Charge type is broken down for you as far as serious misdemeanors one hundred nineteen, aggravated is forty-six, and currently have twenty-four felony cases.” The types of offenses for current probationers are broken down into categories. One hundred two are alcohol offenses. Fifty-five are drug-related offenses, and 32 are listed in the other category, which can refer to assaults, eluding the police, and domestic violence offenses.
