As part of Severe Weather Awareness Week, KCII participated in the statewide tornado drill yesterday morning at 10 am. KCII was live on the air, presenting information about severe weather in Iowa. This included interviews with Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator Marissa Reisen and Weatherology Meteorologist Michael Karow. To keep the residents of southeast Iowa informed, KCII continued the broadcast with information on our Severe Weather Action Team coverage. Listeners learned what to expect in the event of a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning for Washington County.
