It’s a full schedule of Hillcrest Academy athletics today. The Raven boys golf team travels to Cedar Crest in Columbus Junction today to battle Louisa-Muscatine in a Southeast Iowa Superconference dual. Hillcrest is 3-0 this year after a 185-190 win at New London Friday where Luke and Liam Schrock took medalist honors with matching 44s. This year, the Ravens have a team average of 182 per nine holes, led individually by Luke Schrock’s 43. Louisa-Muscatine last played Tuesday at the Wildcat Invitational at Durant where they were seventh of eight schools with a 395 18-hole score, led by Xander Bieri’s 90. On the season, the Falcons are shooting 214 per nine with Bieri’s 43 the top average. Last season the Ravens beat the Falcons in Kalona behind a team score of 192 Josiah Beachy’s medalist round of 44. The Ravens and Falcons start at 4p.m. And continue into the evening in Columbus Junction.

The Hillcrest track team is also at Louisa-Muscatine Tuesday. The Ravens have been off since an April 10th meet at Lone Tree. The Raven boys were sixth with 25 points led by Owen Scott taking second in the long jump and third in the 400 and high jump. The Hillcrest girls were seventh with 17 points behind Delaney Shaw’s runner-up finish in the long jump. Columbus will also be at L-M tonight. Joining the Ravens tonight in Letts are Columbus, Central Lee, Van Buren, Wapello and the home Falcons. Action starts with field events at 4:30 at L-M High School.

The Hillcrest Academy boys soccer team is on the pitch tonight in an all-KCII area matchup with the Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats. The Ravens enter play with a 3-0 overall record following a 2-1 penalty kick shootout win over Central Lee in Kalona Tuesday. The Ravens are ranked No. 15 in this week’s Class 1A poll from the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association. For the year, Hillcrest has outscored their opponents 15-2. Grant Bender leads Hillcrest with four goals, Rowan Miller has a team best three assists. Kyle Neuschwander has made seven saves in goal. The Wildcats are 2-5 this year, last time out they fell to Sigourney-Keota 2-0 Tuesday. They have been outscored this year 24-8. The Wildcats won this matchup last year 2-1 in Kalona.
