The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams tee it up Monday against the West Branch Bears in a pair of River Valley Conference duals. Both teams of Hawks were last in action Tuesday at the Washington triangular where they were each was second behind the Demons and ahead of the Columbus Wildcats. The boys shot a team score 176, led by Drew Schlabaugh’s 39. Through two meets, Mid-Prairie has a 2-1 overall record and 172 average per nine holes, with individual leader, Warren Scarff at 43.

The Mid-Prairie girls shot 205 at Washington with Gabi Robertson’s 45 taking medalist runner-up honors. The Hawks have a 2-2 record this year. They have a 201 team average through a pair of meets with Robertson’s 45 average best on the team.

The West Branch boys played Thursday at the Solon Invitational where they were sixth of nine schools with a 365 team score. The West Branch girls opened the season Thursday against West Liberty shooting a 200 to get the win. The Bears were led by Claire Jarrett with a 48. The Bears swept the Hawks head to head last season with the boys winning 151-221 and the girls taking the matchup 211-219. Both meets begin at 4p.m. and continue into the evening with the boys at the Kalona Golf Course and girls traveling to Cedar’s Edge in West Branch.
