The Washington City Council met Tuesday, on the agenda was discussion of a resolution to approve a professional services agreement with Schneider Geospatial. City Administrator Deanna McCusker explains what that agreement would mean for Washington, “I know we have been talking about getting a GIS software company for quite a while, and now with the lead service line inventory needing to be finished, this will assist us with that. Also, it helps us identify a mapping system, like where our water lines are, our sewer lines, water shut-offs, anything we want to put on a map we can. ” The board voted unanimously to approve the agreement. The contract involves training city employees to be able to utilize the mapping system and provide continued guidance and education.
