At approximately 7:15 pm Thursday, Washington Fire was dispatched to 2670 Red Oak Avenue, Washington, for a report of a machine shed on fire with equipment inside. Upon arrival, smoke & flames were visible from the north side of the building. The machine shed suffered significant damage, and the equipment inside suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported, and crews were on scene for approximately two hours. The cause of the fire is ruled to be electrical in nature. Ainsworth Fire Department, Crawfordsville Fire Department, Riverside Fire Department, Washington County Ambulance, Washington County Sheriff, Washington County 911 Communications, & Alliant Energy assisted the Washington Fire Department.
