The Winfield-Mount Union Wolves put up a strong showing at the West Burlington-Notre Dame track and field meet Thursday, powered by three individual winners. Senior Keetyn Townsley and junior Tessa Huston won the hurdles races, with Townsley taking the 100 meters and Huston the 400. Freshman Quin Smith was a winner in the high jump and also finished third in the 200-meter dash. Smith, Townsley and Huston were key contributors to the WMU winning four-by-200 and 4-by-400-meter relay teams, while the Wolves also took second in the 4-by-100, third in the 1,600-meter sprint medley and fourth in the 800 medley. Next up for Winfield-Mount Union will be traveling to Fort Madison on Tuesday.
