Cast members in the Mid-Prairie spring play are geared up for their unique production, The Play That Goes Wrong. Performances are Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 16 at 2 p.m.
Junior, Jacob Carrillo, explains the comedic play within a play. “It’s a murder mystery going between all the characters trying to figure out who did it. The part that goes wrong is that characters trip over stuff, things fall, everything breaks apart until the ending where nearly nothing is left.”
In addition to non-stop physical comedy, freshman cast member, Caroline Schrader, tells KCII that the production will keep audiences guessing until the very end. “I think everyone will be on their toes the entire time just waiting for what’s going to happen next, like what’s going to go wrong next, and I think it’ll just be funny for everyone who comes.”
The play is directed by Christine Meader and Lisa Helmuth, with performances in the Mid-Prairie Cafetorium. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students. They can be purchased at the door, or online here.
