The Highland Huskies hit the golf course twice at the end of the week. The Highland boys came up just short in a matchup with Lone Tree Thursday at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside, with the Lions’ team score of 231 being just one stroke better. Husky senior Peyton Yeggy was the meet medalist, shooting a 10-over-par 46, while sophomore Isaac Kleese fired a 60.

Highland also took part in the English Valleys Invitational Friday at Knoll Ridge Country Club in North English. On the girls’ side, freshman Emerson Schultz and senior Jenna Waters finished tied for second with an 18-hole score of 105, while sophomore Adeline Krotz finished at 112. The Husky boys were fourth in team scoring and got a top score of 101 from sophomore Zach Thompson. Yeggy and Kleese both shot 105.
