Jake Engel has been named to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation Board of Directors. Engel is a lifelong resident of Washington. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Iowa and has been a social studies teacher at Fairfield High School since 2020. Engel is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Teaching and Leadership at the University of Iowa. The WCRF Board of Directors consists of 14 volunteers, representing all residents of Washington County. The board members evaluate grant applications and determine recipients, with the mission of helping make Washington County a better place to live and work.
