Following the series of storms in March, Hillcrest Academy is holding a special, informational event on Sunday, April 23.

Titled Aftermath: Narration of the Keota, Iowa EF4 Tornado, the presentation will be led by Hillcrest Alum, Kyle Miller. Miller will give an in-depth analysis of the tornado, using videos and photos of the aftermath. He will also discuss safety measures to help better prepare for the next weather outbreak.

The tornado on March 31 was only the second EF4 in the past 55 years in southeast Iowa, ranking in the top one percent of most destructive tornadoes in the United States, and the first EF4 tornado in the past 39 years.

The presentation begins at 2 p.m. in Celebration Hall, and is free to the public. Guests are advised that strong language with warnings will be given.
