The Washington Demon golf teams remained unbeaten in Southeast Conference play by winning both meets yesterday. Finally taking their home course at Washington Golf & Country Club meant that the Demons endured brutal wind gusts. Yet they still produced a team score of only 162 strokes and finished 22 strokes clear of second-place Fairfield. Washington freshman Rajan Roth was the meet medalist with a two-over-par 38, and classmate Drew Conrad was only one stroke behind in second place. Junior Roman Roth shot 40 to finish third, while senior Isaac Vetter was fifth with a 45; junior Luke Beenblossom finished sixth with a 46; and junior Teague Meyer was eighth with a 47.

The Washington girls were just as good in blustery conditions at Mount Pleasant, putting up a 175 team score. Senior Makenna Conrad was meet medalist after firing a five-over 41, with classmate Kaylin Long only a stroke behind as the runner-up. Freshman Adalyn Long shot 45, while junior Mallary Johnson finished with a 47 and senior Haley Mitchell and junior Maci Williams each shot 48. The Demons will be back on the links at the Oskaloosa Invitational Thursday.
