For the second time in less than a week, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls track team brought home the overall championship from a meet in Tipton. The Hawks won the title Tuesday with their team score of 113 points, clipping Maquoketa’s 109. The Golden Hawks won three event championships on the evening including Tabitha Evans in the 400 in 1:00.58, Danielle Hostetler in the 1500 in 4:43.75 and the 4×100 team of Madeline Schrader, Amara Jones, Jovi Evans and Tabitha Evans in 51.32 seconds.

Other top finishes for the Hawks included Tabitha Evans runner-up in the 200 and Ella Groenewold second in high jump. Jovi Evans was third in the 100, Abby Fleming was third in the 1500 and the 4×200 team of Schrader, Jones, Jovi Evans and Dakota Mitchell were third. The Hawks are off until they host their home meet Thursday.
