The WACO Warriors came up just short in a soccer thriller yesterday, losing 1-0 in double overtime at Burlington Notre Dame. After neither team could find the back of the net through 80 minutes, the Warriors kept the game a scoreless tie through 10 minutes of overtime action. But Notre Dame senior Hunter Lillie would ultimately bury the winner in the second OT period. WACO falls to 2-3 and will return to the pitch tomorrow to host Sigourney-Keota.
