The Washington County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday. The discussion and possible action regarding the citizen’s petition regarding potential relocation of some Washington County offices was the first item on the agenda. After lengthy discussion from both sides, Supervisor Marcus Fedler said, “Ok, so we have an architect that knows a lot about space needs and is being educated on space needs for the county right now. At that point, I think we figure out if we better-utilized space out at Orchard Hill for the county’s purpose; what does that look like? We’ve got some ideas, I mentioned that we might need to look at a plan B.” The next step for this project includes meeting with two more Washington County Department heads and gaining more information about the space needs of each. From there, more discussions will be had with Encite Architecture about how the space at Orchard Hill can be utilized, maybe without needing to move as many offices over.
