The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls track team treated the home crowd to a show Thursday night at Dwight G. Sattler Field in Wellman, winning the Golden Hawk Girls Relays. Mid-Prairie posted 178 points, beating Pekin’s second place total of 119.5. Mid-Prairie celebrated an amazing 11 event championships on the evening. Individual titles belonged to Grace Conway in the 400 in 1:08.19, Ella Groenewold in the high jump clearing 4’10”, Abby Fleming in the 3000 in 11:39.61, Dakota Mitchell in the 200 in 28.46 seconds and Danielle Hostetler in the 800 in 2:23.75. In relay events, the 4×100 team of Madeline Schrader, Amara Jones, Jovi Evans and Tabitha Evans were winners in 51.24 seconds. That same group won the 4×2 in 1:47.35 and the sprint medley in 1:55.33. The 4×800 team of Greta Sieren, Kali Miller, Annika Poll and Hostetler won gold in 10:44.19. The distance medley team of Nevaeh Decker, Mitchell, Sieren and Hostetler won the title in 4:32.22, and the shuttle hurdle team of Amara Jones, Ashlee Farrier, Emily Schlabach and Sophie Miller beat the field in 1:13.27.

Mid-Prairie had runner-up performances from Abby Fleming in the 1500, Phoebe Shetler in the 3000 and Emma Lueck in the long jump. Dessa Poll and Sophie Miller were third in discus and the 100 hurdles respectively. The Golden Hawks will next compete Monday at Center Point Urbana.
