The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls soccer team had a tough time on the road at No. 6 Solon Thursday, falling by a 7-0 score. The Lady Spartans controlled the action, scoring three times in the first half and adding four more after intermission. Against the Spartan defense, Mid-Prairie mustered three shots, one each from Sophia Baker, Paityn Jennings and Zoey Curtiss with Jennings’s shot the lone attempt on goal. Golden Hawk keepers were busy, making 21 total saves, 12 for Kina Miller. With the loss, Mid-Prairie is now 5-2 and travels to Anamosa Friday.
