Students at Highland High School are gearing up for their Junior/Senior Prom this weekend. The culmination of a year’s worth of accomplishments, this year’s event begins on Saturday, April 22.
The theme for the Huskies is Golden Gala Night. Surrounded by golden decorations in the school, students will strut their stuff in the Grand March, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Parents, guardians, and other family are invited to attend and take pictures. The dance will follow in the gymnasium from 8-11:30 p.m.
After the dance, the school will also be the site of the post-prom celebration, where students can participate in a variety of activities including laser tag, mini-golf, arcade games, bags, and inflatables. A hypnotist will also be on hand to continue the evening of fun. Food and refreshments will be provided by Mincer Country Catering out of Lone Tree. Highland’s post-prom is scheduled to end at 3:30 a.m.
