The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk track teams are both on the oval Tuesday in Anamosa for the Blue Raider Relays. The Mid-Prairie girls are fresh off of a victory at their home Golden Hawk Relays Thursday that featured 11 event championships including Grace Conway in the 400, Ella Groenewold in the high jump, Abby Fleming in the 3000 , Dakota Mitchell in the 200 and Danielle Hostetler in the 800. In relay events, the 4×100 team of Madeline Schrader, Amara Jones, Jovi Evans and Tabitha Evans were winners. That same group won the 4×2 and the sprint medley. The 4×800 team of Greta Sieren, Kali Miller, Annika Poll and Hostetler won gold. The distance medley team of Nevaeh Decker, Mitchell, Sieren and Hostetler won the title, and the shuttle hurdle team of Jones, Ashlee Farrier, Emily Schlabach and Sophie Miller beat the field.
The Mid-Prairie boys were at Newton Thursday. The Hawks were fourth of 15 schools with 68 points. Mid-Prairie had four event championships on the night. Jayden Stafford swept his three events, winning the wheelchair 100, 200 and 400s. Cain Brown was the long jump winner. Teams joining the Golden Hawks tonight include Bellevue, Central DeWitt, Denver, Easton Valley, Independence, Libson, Maquoketa Valley, Midland, Monticello, Mount Vernon, North Linn, Starmont, West Liberty and the home Raiders. Action starts with field events at 4:15 this evening in Anamosa.
