The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls soccer teams will travel in different directions Tuesday for their next matches. The Golden Hawk boys are in Riverside for an all-KCII area matchup with the Highland Huskies. Mid-Prairie is 5-4 on the year after a 2-1 win in Wellman over Tipton Monday, where Owen Trimpe scored twice and Grady and Tucker Miller each had an assist, Joe Hall had four saves. For the year, Mid-Prairie has been outscored 28-21 overall. Trimpe leads Mid-Prairie with eight goals, Tucker Miller with four assists and Hall with 25 saves. Highland is 0-8 this year after a home loss Monday to Hillcrest Academy 3-0. This season, the Huskies have given up 39 goals while still looking for their first. Jackson Keller has made 93 saves on the year. Mid-Prairie is 16-1 all-time in this series, winning the last eight in a row by a total of 59-1.

The Golden Hawk girls are in Wapello tonight. Mid-Prairie comes in  6-3 after taking down Tipton Monday 2-1, on a Zoey Curtiss golden goal in extra time. Amara Jones also had a goal in the victory and Kina Miller 20 saves. For the season, the Hawks have outscored their opponents 29-20. Individual leaders include Sophia Baker with seven goals, and Miller with five assists and 67 saves. Wapello is 0-6 this season. They were beaten 10-0 Thursday by Burlington Notre Dame. The Arrows have been outscored this year 47-2. They are led by Rachel Hoeg and Torrie Walker each with one goal. Hoeg has an assist. Keeper Keelyn Griffin has made 144 saves. Mid-Prairie has won both previous meetings with Wapello by a combined 18-1 score. Action in both boys and girls contests starts at 5p.m. Tuesday.
