Governor Kim Reynolds announced Tuesday that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) granted her request to provide assistance to eight counties impacted by severe weather on March 31.

Homeowners, renters, businesses, and most non-profit organizations in Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, and Washington Counties, whose property was damaged or destroyed by the disaster, will be able to apply for low-interest disaster loans from the SBA. Small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, and most private, non-profit organizations impacted by the severe weather will be eligible to apply for working capital loans.

For more information, applicants can call SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Applications are also available here.
