One of the largest track and field showcases of the season is in Wayland tonight when the WACO Warriors host the Eckstrand Relays at Roth Field.

The Washington Demon boys and girls are both at WACO. The Washington girls  were runners-up at their home Washington Relays Thursday. The Demons had four event championships with Iris Dahl winning the 400, Ryen Pepper the 400 hurdles, the 4×400 of Dahl, Leighton Messinger, Eden Levetzow and Grace Voss were winners and so was the throwers relay of Sadie Van Der Molen, Alex Murphy, Ally Rees and Kadence Howell. The Demon boys competed at Davenport Assumption Thursday. The Demons were seventh with 42 points as Brayden Hartman won shot put and discus.

The Hillcrest Academy boys and girls will be at WACO tonight. The Raven girls competed at Monday’s Ralph White Relays in Burlington placing fourth and winning five titles. Rya Scott took the long jump, Malia Yoder the high jump and the Raven 4×100, 4×200 and sprint medley teams of Scott, Yoder, Erin Bontrager and Delaney Shaw were all winners. The Hillcrest boys last competed at Louisa-Muscatine a week ago where Owen Scott went third in the long and high jumps.

The Highland Huskies travel to WACO Thursday. They were in Sigourney Tuesday. The girls scored 47 points to finish fifth. Sarah Burton was the long jump winner, and the Huskies got second place finishes from Burton in the 200 and 4×100 and 4×200 teams.

The Lone Tree boys and girls were at Belle Plaine Monday. The Lady Lions won the team title and had nine event winners including Ava Christofferson in the 100, Jazmine Niro in the 1500, Riley Krueger in the 100 hurdles, Averie Morarie in the long jump and the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, sprint medley and shuttle hurdle teams. The Lone Tree boys were sixth with 32 points. They got second place times from their 4×200 and sprint medleys.

The Winfield-Mt. Union boys and girls competed at Sigourney Tuesday. The Lady Wolves had 38.5 points for seventh. They won three events including Keetyn Townsley in the 100 hurdles, the shuttle hurdle and 4×200.

The Sigourney boys and girls last ran at their home invitational Tuesday. The Sigourney girls were ninth with 29 points with the 4×400 team finishing runner-up.

The home WACO Warriors were also in Sigourney where the girls scored 17 points to finish 11th. The shuttle hurdle team was second.

Joining these schools tonight are Danville, Eddyville-Blakesburg, Fairfield, Fort Madison, HLV, Keokuk, Mediapolis, New London, and Tri-County. Action starts at 4:30 and continues into the evening at Roth Field in Wayland.
